Mallard Fillmore

Four silent penultimate panels today--all featuring animals.

Get Fuzzy by Darby Conley
Garfield by "Jim Davis"
Barkeater Lake by Corey Pandolph
Mallard Fillmore by Bruce Tinsley

Mallard Fillmore follows up his debut SPP strip with--the exact same strip!

Just who is the guy with the glasses in the first panel?
A lazy federal worker? An analyst at the footnoted Bureau of Economic Analysis? James Taylor? Only the duck would know.

I love it when your loathing of MF makes it into the blog. I could read a MF analysis every day.

Someone should start a "Conservative" Comics Aren't Funny blog.

Does anyone know why Mallard changes color from black to green? I think there's got to be some deep meaning or doppleganger thing going on, but damned if I know.

It's funny compared to Doonesbury.

Daveyk: I'm glad your blog exists. It is a necessary thing.

Chris: You're right. Mallard Fillmore is *hilarious* compared to Doonesbury. It also has much better art and more fully-developed characters. Also, I'm totally high on printer toner right now.
